Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show was an all-time performance

From the "Not Like Us" opener to the Samuel L. Jackson bit to bringing out SZA — Kendrick turned a 13-minute slot into a cultural moment. The staging was minimal but the energy was absolutely electric. Hip hop has had bad Super Bowl halftime shows before and this redeemed everything. He performed like someone with something to prove and we all won.
